Fundraising Coordinator: Job Description

Ma’an Network is a not for profit media organization which works to strengthen independent media as well as to consolidate freedom of expression and media pluralism as a means of promoting democracy and human rights in the Palestinian Territory.

Place of work: Ma'an Network, Bethlehem, Palestinian Territory
Line Manager: General Director
Main purpose of job: Securing financial support from a range of donors for Ma'an Network.

Responsibilities:


Research and identify funding opportunities from a range of donors  including international governments, the European Commission and Foundations

Work as part of a team to develop Ma'an Network’s overall fundraising and project development strategy

Develop individual project concept notes in coordination with the General Director

Draft grant applications as per donor guidelines

Maintain and develop relationships with existing and potential donors and project partners

Ensure all proposal documentation is up to date and consistent in style

Coordinate project implementation with Ma'an Network departments if required

Prepare project reports and other donor communications if required

Write/edit communications materials related to Ma'an Network projects; eg. leaflets, newsletters and website content

Undertake other communications tasks as required


Knowledge, experience and skills

University degree (minimum of Bachelors Degree)  preferably in Political Science, Media, Communications, Business Administration or any other related field

Track record of at least 3 years in fundraising with multilateral and bilateral donors as well as Foundations

Proven experience in developing and writing funding proposals in English

Excellent written communications skills

Strong organizational skills

Hands-on team player

Flexible, capable of working under pressure and against deadlines

Impeccable presentation and strong networking skills

Ability to work with budgets and financial reports

Complete fluency in written and spoken English is essential

An existing network of donor contacts would be an asset

International experience would be an asset
