Objective:

•  Engaging Palestinian youth in social issues through TV drama

Ma'an Network produced and broadcast this television drama series aimed at young Palestinians as a way to deliver important messages in an appealing format. The scripts were developed around subjects garnered through field research with young people in the West Bank and Gaza. Through drama, the series tackled key social issues such as the occupation, elections, elderly/youth dynamics, and non-violent conflict resolution. This series was the first soap opera using Palestinian talent in all aspects of production.

Results:

• The soap opera was broadcast during Ramadan 2005 on Ma'an Network stations over 13 episodes,of 27 minutes each.
