Period: September 2005 - February 2006 

Objectives:

• Training Palestinian media professionals in fair, objective and unbiased election reporting

• Increasing awareness of  new electoral procedures amongst Palestinian journalists

In recognition of the significant role that media plays in the election process, the project aimed to ensure that the entire media chain of command understood the importance of professional election reporting and the details of recent electoral changes.

Results:

• 100 media professionals trained in election reporting and electoral processes.

• Election coverage guide produced and distributed among participants and other interested parties.
