Period: July 2005 - June 2006

Objectives:

• Supporting the democratic process by enabling direct contact between Palestinian representatives and the electorate

• Increasing the production capacity of Ma'an Network TV stations

This project involved organizing, filming and broadcasting live talk shows in which citizens questioned government officials and representatives in eight cities across the West Bank. Implemented in cooperation with Ma'an Network’s local TV stations, the shows were held in public places (streets, theatres, universities and restaurants) and focused primarily on local issues in each municipality, facilitating direct interaction between elected representatives and the public.

Results:

• Eight live talk shows were produced and broadcast on Ma'an Network television stations.
