Development of Palestinian Online Radio Portal Period:
January - August 2007
Objectives:
This project focused on
developing an online radio portal for local independent Palestinian radio
stations, both as a way to forge stronger connections between local radio
journalists and encourage them to increase quality of their programming, and as a
means of attracting wider audiences to Palestinian radio. Ultimately, having
local radio programs accessible online will promote Palestinian media pluralism,
a key milestone in building democracy and increasing access to information in
Palestine.
Results:

Palestinian online radio portal launched at
www.maanradio.net and supported by three servers.
